To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter with the intent to express my interest in the Event Manager position within your organization. I strongly believe that between my qualifications and my passion for events, I would make a great candidate for this position.
As you read through my resume you can find a few common themes. I have always had a strong passion for people, organization, and creativity. I have been fortunate enough to have many opportunities that have afforded me the ability to express those passions. My experiences as an event coordinator through Bailey’s Place provided me knowledge on how to effectively execute events from head to toe. As one of two coordinators I was able to head many projects on my own, while managing many others alongside my colleague. Throughout my education I was able to volunteer at the Veteran Affairs Association. There, as an event coordinator, I established events focused on raising awareness for Veteran benefits. This work gave me an even greater appreciation for non-profit organizations and a realization of the help needed. I was able to achieve my Bachelors degree from Ball State University in Hospitality and Food Management. I look forward to continuing my education in the future to achieve my Masters in Nonprofit Management. Continuing my love of events, I ventured into the design element of what makes an event effective. My time at Flowers for Dreams allowed me to use my resources, and further my experiences within a charitable company, and perfect my eye for detail . My long term goals are to use my experiences as well as my passions to further my event knowledge in an impactful way. I believe that my energy and focus would make me a great asset for the DePaul team.
